Andrew Binks has worked, written, acted and taught across the globe. Andrew holds a BA in Drama from Queen's University, a diploma from LAMDA and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia. His second novel, STRIP, was published by Nightwood Editions in October 2013. In 2012, he placed second in Prairie Fire's non-fiction contest, and The Short Goodbye appeared in the summer 2013 issue of Prairie Fire. He was a finalist in the Writers' Union of Canada Short Prose Contest and This Magazine's Great Canadian Literary Hunt. His fiction, non-fiction, and poetry has appeared in Joyland.ca, Galleon, Prism International, Harrington Gay Men's Literary Quarterly (U.S.), A Voice from the Planet (U.S.), Bent Magazine, the Globe and Mail, Xtra, Queen's Alumni Review, Quill's lust issue, and Velvet Avalanche poetry anthology. After graduating, and fifteen years in Vancouver, he returned to Ontario in 2007. The Summer Between, Andrew's first novel, was released by Nightwood Editions in May 2009.
