BIO
Biography

Yvonne Blomer (she/her) is an award-winning travel writer and poet who most recently won the Exile Editions Gwendolyn MacEwen Poetry Competition. The Last Show on Earth is forthcoming with Caitlin Press in 2022 along with a re-issue of her poetry collection The Book of Places with Palimpsest Press. Yvonne’s poetry books include As if a Raven (Palimpsest Press, 2015) and the anthologies Refugium: Poems for the Pacific and Sweet Water: Poems for the Watersheds (Caitlin Press, 2017 and 2021). Yvonne co-edited Hologram: Homage to P.K. Page which is forthcoming. Sugar Ride: Cycling from Hanoi to Kuala Lumpur, her travel memoir exploring body, time and travel was published in 2017 with Palimpsest Press. Yvonne is the past Poet Laureate of Victoria, B.C. and lives on the traditional territories of the WSÁNEĆ (Saanich) peoples of the Coast Salish Nation.
