Ted Staunton has been publishing stories since writing a picture book called "Puddleman" for a university class way back in the '80s. Since then he's written over forty books of fiction and non-fiction for readers of middle-grade, YA, picture books, beginning novels and Hi-Lo. He's been nominated for a bunch of awards and even won one of them.
He is a busy presenter at schools, libraries, and festivals across the country. Ted also teaches the Writing Children's Fiction courses at George Brown College. When not talking about books or pecking at a keyboard, he can often be found playing roots music with an eclectic assortment of musicians.

Highly interactive, whether virtual or live. We look at where stories come from and how they become books, with grade-appropriate stories and anecdotes that inspired the work, a reading and imagining exercise, a look at the writing process and lots of time for Q&A - and often music with my guitar and banjo.
Always the aims are fun, fast-paced and informative.
Workshops are tailored to the needs of individual groups. They can be on fiction and humor writing, story structure, graphic novels, creating picture books, or working with a collaborator
