Originally from England, Susi Lovell worked her way around the world — as stable hand, ski bum, secretary, computer programmer, orange and tomato picker, advertising researcher — before settling in Montreal.
A movement artist-educator, Susi performed and taught in Canada, the U.S., England, Finland and Mexico. She was Artistic Director of Groupe ImpuDance, a community dance theatre collective. She has a BA (German and Russian), an MA (Contemporary Dance) and an MFA (Creative Writing).
Susi started writing short fiction after a spell writing on dance for the Montreal Gazette. Her stories have appeared in The New Quarterly, The Stand Magazine, Grain, Fiddlehead, Kudzu Review, and other journals and anthologies.
