She was nominated by the BBC as one of the 100 most inspiring women, and classified as one of the most influential Arab women and one of the most important young leaders in the Arab region.
Samar's work and speeches focus on literature, women leadership and youth empowerment.
Topics for speeches:
- Women leadership: how to lead as a woman in a male-dominated world, drawing from my experience growing up in the Arab region and working in male dominated fields in Arab countries (e.g. literature, academia).
- Literature: the role of stories in building narratives and creating change, especially in times of disruption and revolution.
- Youth and SDGs: how we can use our positions in society, and our narratives and stories, to achieve the SDGs.
