Rosemary Sullivan is the author of sixteen books in the multiple genres of biography, memoir, poetry, travelogue, and short fiction. Her books include Shadow Maker: The Life of Gwendolyn MacEwen which won a Governor General’s Award, The Red Shoes: Margaret Atwood Starting Out, Labyrinth of Desire: Women Passion and Romantic Obsession, Villa Air-Bel: World War II, Escape and a House in Marseille. Stalin’s Daughter: The Extraordinary and Tumultuous Life of Svetlana Alliluyeva won the Hilary Weston Writers’ Trust Prize, the BC National Non-Fiction Award, and the RBC Charles Taylor Prize, as well as the International Plutarch Award in Biography. The book was also a finalist for the PEN/Bograd Weld prize for biography and the National Books Critics Circle Award. She has published a book for children called Molito, accompanied by music and narrative. Her 2022 book The Betrayal of Anne Frank: A Cold Case Investigation has been sold in twenty countries. It was named Best Non-Fiction Book of 2022 on Poland's Major Book Review Site (granice.pl) and won Best Non-Fiction: The Crime Writers of Canada Awards for Excellence, 2023. Her latest book is called Where the World Was: A memoir. In 2012 Sullivan was named an Officer of the Order of Canada for her contributions to Canadian culture.

Sullivan will lead workshop in varieties of writing: non-fiction; memoir; biography; and respond to samples of students' work or general ideas.
Sullivan will read from her children's book Molito and tell the kids how she discovered this little mole who journeys from the underground to visit the world. She will also provide samples of the music accompanying Molito on his adventures.
