Miriam Körner, originally from Germany, is an award-winning writer, photographer, illustrator and wilderness guide. She lives in a small cabin surrounded by her sled dogs near La Ronge, Saskatchewan. When she is not exploring the vast wilderness of Canada's Far North by dog team or canoe she writes about her adventures - real and imagined ones - for children and young adults.
Presentations are catered to the audience. Generally, they include book readings and a behind the scenes look with varying focuses on: Writing/illustrating for children, environmental grief and hope, connection to nature, northern lifestyles, sled dogs and land based education.

- Qaqavii, Grade 5-12 (Focus: Arctic, Inuit dog culture. Reading and a look behind the scenes: Racing the Hudson Bay Quest, dog teams, inspiration.)
