Maureen Evans (she/they) grew up in Northern Canada. She resolved to writing her way out young, and has worked widely ever since — launching cookbook EAT TWEET in NYC and literary startup POETICA in London, writing poetry collection FATE & KNIVES in Belfast and publishing poems from it worldwide — her voice remaining rooted in the north: wild and humane. She lives in unceded Wiwēqay̓i and K’ómoks territory, building her timber frame home there, but often ventures into Lenni-Lenape territory; and is everywhere always making poetry, food and art.
