Ken Harvey
BIO
Biography

Ken is the author of a collection of short stories (If You Were With Me Everything Would Be All Right) and a memoir (A Passionate Engagement). The story collection won the Violet Quill Award for Best New Gay Fiction at the Lambda Literary Festival. The Italian translation of the book is into its second printing. The memoir was named a Rainbow Book by the American Library Association, an award given to books of lasting LGBTQ interest and quality. A Pushcart Prize nominee, he's been published in over twenty U.S. and international literary magazines, including The Massachusetts Review , Consequence, and The Buenos Aires Review. He's read his work on National Public Radio in the United States and in Italy and has been granted writing residencies at the Millay Colony and the Banff Centre for the Arts. He is also the recipient of major grants from the Thomas J. Watson Foundation and the Massachusetts Arts Council. Ken holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Bennington College.
