BIO
Biography

Elinor Florence grew up on a Saskatchewan farm, earned her Journalism degree at Carleton University, and had a long career writing for newspapers and magazines, including Reader’s Digest Canada, before turning to fiction. Her first novel Bird’s Eye View, about a Canadian woman who joins the air force in World War Two, was published by Dundurn Press in 2014 and became a national bestseller. She interviewed many veterans during her research, and self-published a collection of their stories titled My Favourite Veterans. Her second novel Wildwood, also published by Dundurn Press, explores pioneer life in northern Alberta. Now living near Lake Windermere in British Columbia, Elinor loves Canadian history and all things vintage. She writes a popular monthly newsletter titled Letters From Windermere, and is currently working on her third novel.
