Brent van Staalduinen is the award-winning and bestselling author of the novels UNTHINKABLE, NOTHING BUT LIFE, BOY, and SAINTS, UNEXPECTED, and the short story collection CUT ROAD. He is also an award-winning short story writer whose work has appeared in journals on both sides of the Atlantic. A recovering high school English teacher, tree planter, army medic, and overnight radio host, Brent now finds himself writing books, teaching writing to university students, running the Rejected Central podcast, and figuring out what it means to be a family man. He lives in Hamilton, Ontario.
I have been making presentations to groups of all sizes for decades. My range to topics is wide, but generally I explore concepts related to writing, as well as expanded discussions of the themes in my work.
