Toronto Public Library is excited to announce the in-person start of our Fall 2024 Writer in Residence program. This year the Writer in Residence will focus on Romance writing.  

We are currently inviting applications from Canadian writers for the Fall of 2024 Writer in Residence position based at the North York Central Library (NYCL), located at 5120 Yonge St. The residency supports writers and encourages exchanges between the author and the community. This eight-week program provides a wonderful means of collaborating with the community while promoting individual works.

The Writer in Residence in collaboration with TPL creates and delivers online and in-person programs, evaluates submitted manuscripts, provides workshops and meets with writers from the general public.
