Author and Filmmaker Julius Kohanyi grew up in Kelowna, B.C., Hungary, and Toronto.  He has written and directed over forty films and won numerous international awards.  They include the Gold Medal at Houston's International Film Festival, the Hugo Award for Best Children's Entertainment Film in Chicago, and Special Screenings at the Royal Ontario Museum and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.  Mr. Kohanyi has published THE RAD TRILOGY: Book One: "RAD and the quest for Geminus" and Book Two: "RAD and the Circus Gambit".  He has recently released Book Three of THE RAD TRILOGY: "RAD and the Chili Pepper Ploy".  Julius is often inspired to write about children who overcame life's obstacles, as he did.  He lives in Toronto with his wife, Susan Kavesh, who is a high school teacher.
