The Independent or Small Press Experience: an author's-eye view

Interested in publishing your manuscript and don't know where to start? Emerging writers (and many experienced ones) often publish with independent or "small" presses. "Small" is only a measurement of how many people run the business, not of the quality, as books published by small presses routinely win prestigious awards. In this 2-hour workshop, author and professor Tanis MacDonald will talk step-by-step about choosing a press, pitching a manuscript, and working with an editor.
