Beth Follett is the founder and publisher of Pedlar Press, a Canadian literary house. Her first novel, Tell It Slant (Coach House Books, 2001), a retelling of Djuna Barnes’s 1936 novel Nightwood, met with critical acclaim. Her newest novel, Instructor, is published by Breakwater Books (2021). Her poetry, prose and nonfiction work have appeared in Brick, Best Canadian Poetry 2019, and elsewhere. She lives in St John’s, NL.
Embodied editing and writing [fiction]. What is writing, what is editing when it surfaces from an embodied experience? This workshop will especially appeal to writers who have a finished draft of a short story or novel, or to writers whose work has been turned down recently by publishers or literary magazines who say the work is not yet polished. The only technology required is Zoom.
